The Emerald Standard Unit (ESU) is GEMx's quality and valuation framework. Built from the most liquid emeralds (qualities 4-8 on the GemGuide scale, 1-2 carat), the ESU defines a standardized portfolio benchmark.
Every emerald in the GEMx framework follows a rigorous supply chain: sourced from ESG-compliant mines in Brazil, cut and polished by expert craftsmen in Jaipur, India, then independently certified and securely stored in Swiss freeport vaults at Zurich Airport.
GEMx bridges physical emerald assets with digital co-ownership through blockchain tokenization on Avalanche. Each token is backed by verified physical emeralds, with Chainlink Proof of Reserve ensuring transparency.
